Guido Cacciapuoti, coming from a family of 19th-century Neapolitan ceramists, founded the ceramics studio 'Grès arte Cacciapuoti' in Milan in 1931. As a sculptor and artistic director he was responsible for the production of successful Art Deco porcelain animal figures and female statues. These quickly became sought-after collectors' items. He also made a number of bronze statues. After the death of Guido Cacciapuoti in 1954, Silvio Righetto became the artistic talent of the company.
