Gustave Bregenzer is a German portrait painter. He was educated at the Academy in Düsseldorf and in 1886 became court painter to King Carol I of Romania; then for the Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen dynasty. In addition to court portraits, he made beautiful, delicate portraits of children and old people. He also made large decorative wall paintings . Museums: e.g. Museum Sigmaringen in Krefeld.
