The landscape with its fixed elements is a favourite subject for visual artist Harrie Gerritz. Clouds, trees, fences and church buildings are therefore the main motif of his paintings. Sometimes they are recognizable, sometimes not. According to the artist, the landscape can be something concrete, for example topographical, but it mainly serves as a source of inspiration. His 'emotional landscapes' mainly reflect an atmosphere that is reminiscent of, for example, a beloved region. His work has become increasingly abstract in recent years. The red line is the colourful composition, in bright, often summery colours.
