The artistic career of the southern German painter and sculptor Kurt Moser started at the academy in Munich, where he enrolled at the age of 16 to become proficient in painting. Moser worked in Impressionist style and had a predilection for the landscape, especially the mountain landscape of the Bavarian Alps south of Munich. As a sculptor, Kurt Moser was self-taught, and people and animals were his sources of inspiration. The female nude has an important place in his plastic oeuvre. Moser exhibited in several cities in Italy in 1952, and in subsequent years he had exhibitions in France, Austria, Switzerland and the United States, among others.
