Max Barascudts belonged to the circle of artists who worked in and around the Munich Art Academy in the second half of the nineteenth century. His style is characterized by naturalism and careful elaboration of the subject, which mainly consists of landscapes and genre scenes. The artist also became known for his graphics and book illustrations.
