Chris Beekman painted, watercolored and drew landscapes, figures and still lifes, initially in the style of the Hague School, later more in the Cubist style. He lived and worked in The Hague, Paris, Amsterdam and Blaricum. Beekman was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague under the direction of F. Jansen.
