Belgian painter of realistic portraits, nudes and still lifes. He received his education at the Academy of Mons, where he later joined the idealistic artists' association Nervia (1928). Fellow members included Leon Devos and anto Carte. From 1929 to 1949 he was director of the academy in Bergen.
