Wife of the painter Raoul Hynckes. The painter received her training at the free academy La Grande Chaumière in Paris and at the Amsterdam Rijksakademie. Due to the thoroughness of her training and her precise way of painting, her work closely resembles the magical-realistic still lifes of her husband. However, her compositions are usually more colourful, less strict and have no deeper, symbolic meaning.
