Little is known of the life of Alexander Pawlowitz. Born in Vienna in 1884, he lived and worked as an artist in this city all his life. As early as 1908 he took part in exhibitions, from 1912 he received important portrait commissions. In addition to his portraits in oil and watercolor, the painter made a name for himself with landscapes and farms with cattle painted in an impressionist style.
