Born in Ghent in 1908, Claude Nanreff is one of the Belgian naive painters of the 20th century. In their paintings, these painters present their surroundings or give their view on daily life in their own way, independent of mainstream and artistic directions. Nanreff's paintings are characterized by their funny compositions with many figures and an often humorous undertone. They are finely crafted in style.
